Lauren Armstrong
Business Operations Manager
Lauren is the Business Operations Manager of Obatica. Lauren brings with her a significant and holistic clinical trials experience from a site perspective as well as industry.
Prior to joining Obatica, Lauren was a senior feasibility specialist at Novotech CRO, specialising in the Asia Pacific region. In this role, Lauren has developed relationships with key opinion leaders and site personnels across the region, which provided her with an in-depth knowledge of the landscape as well as on-the-ground issues and challenges.
Lauren also has extensive clinical experience as the Precision Medicine (Phase I) Unit team leader and Regulatory Affairs and Submissions Specialist at the Kinghorn Cancer Centre/St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney. She has been involved in over a hundred clinical trials and has end-to-end experience in managing Phase I-III clinical trials from feasibility, approval, site start-up, dayto-day Study Coordinator management for both single and multi-centre trials, to closeout. She has also coordinated a national multi-centre grant-funded investigator-initiated project as a Project Lead.
Lauren gained her Master of Nursing in 2013 and supplemented this with a GradDip of Nursing (Oncology) in 2019. She worked as a clinical nurse in various acute care settings throughout major tertiary institutions in Sydney for several years prior to entering clinical trials, including Emergency and Acute Surgical settings.
